Packing List: Kuali Days 2020

December 1, 2019

We can’t wait for you to experience Utah, Kuali’s headquarter state. Utah is beautiful year round, with lush mountain meadows in the summer and snow-dusted pine trees in the winter.

The important thing to remember about cold weather is that it can be quite enjoyable if you dress correctly for it. The temperatures in Midway during February typically range from a high of 41 degrees and nightly lows of 16 degrees. That sounds cold (and it is), but it will be a dry cold that doesn’t stick with you. You’ll warm up quickly inside the hotel.

That being said, here are a few packing tips gathered from seasoned Utah residents.

  • Lightweight down jacket or fleece
  • Warm hat
  • Lightweight pair of gloves
  • One pair of boots (If you want to see the ice castles, pick shoes you wear in cold weather.)
  • At least one pair of warm socks
  • Sunglasses
  • Sunscreen (Even though there will be snow on the ground, the sun will be shining overhead!)
  • Swimming suit (Don’t miss out on the crater!)

Layers are your friend. If you run cold, bring extra socks and sweaters.
