Leading Institutions Implement Kuali Research to Modernize Research Administration
Lehi, Utah - May 5, 2020 - University of Massachusetts-Boston, Louisiana State University Health Science Center-New Orleans, and University of Cincinnati are implementing Kuali Research to modernize research administration and eliminate inefficiencies.
Kuali Research provides full online research administration and compliance management to simplify processes and improve insights for all institutions, from Primarily Undergraduate Institutions to very large R1 organizations. Kuali’s modern software as a service (SaaS) greatly eases IT burden, and its powerful analytics tool provides the ability to leverage data and make informed decisions.
With continual growth in their external funding and increased pressures on managing research compliance responsibilities, UMass Boston identified the need to implement a consolidated eRA system and has leveraged the implementation of their sister campus, UMass Amherst, to start implementing the full Kuali Research suite. “We are in the early phases of the implementation plan, but we are very optimistic about Kuali’s capabilities, and looking forward to rolling out the system and realizing some large efficiencies,” said Matthew L. Meyer, Associate Vice Provost for Research and Director of the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs, University of Massachusetts-Boston.
After prioritizing the need to unify the research grant submission process and following a comprehensive systems evaluation, the University of Cincinnati determined “Kuali provides [University of Cincinnati] the best combination of features it needs and the security it demands,” according to Patrick Clark, Associate Vice President for Operations and Management, University of Cincinnati.
