FEMA National Risk Index Tool

SUMMARY
Download

FEMA created a new tool to help organizations evaluate their risk and estimate their expected annual losses, social vulnerabilities, and community resilience. The National Risk Index (NRI) is made up of maps from the county and census tract level made available through geographic information system features. This allows for custom analyses via the tool. The NRI, using multiple factors, can help organizations revise their hazard vulnerability assessment, update their emergency operations plan, improve hazard mitigation plans, prioritize/allocate resources, and so much more.

The NRI considers 18 different natural hazards in combination with other factors like societal vulnerabilities and economic factors to display a holistic view of your risk. Start evaluating your institution's risks today.
