Why should I attend Kuali Days?
We know that your time and resources are valuable. Kuali Days is designed to provide an enriching environment where Kuali users and those interested in Kuali products can learn from their peers and experts in the field. You’ll come away from Kuali Days with valuable information to take back to your institution. We’ve put together this guide to help you convey the justification to attend Kuali Days.
Where will the conference be held this year?
Kuali Days 2020 will be held in Midway, Utah, a small city nestled within the Wasatch Mountain range near Park City, Utah. Learn more about Midway here
When should I arrive for the conference?
Kuali employees should arrive on the morning of Monday, February 17, 2020. For those involved in community meetings, arrive the morning of Tuesday, February 18, 2020. These meetings are by invitation only. For the majority of our guests, arrive on Tuesday, February 18, 2020. There will be an opening reception held that evening at 6:00 PM. And, if this is your first Kuali Days, don’t miss our speed geeking session held just before the opening reception!
What airport should I fly into?
The nearest large airport, Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC).
How do I get to the conference from the airport?
The Zermatt Resort is about an hour by car from the airport. You can communicate about ride-sharing with other Kuali Days attendees in the Whova App. You can also arrange your own transportation, with a car rental, Uber, Lyft, or taxi service.
Do I need to book my own hotel room?
No. When you purchase your Kuali Days conference ticket, your room will be reserved automatically. Then, five weeks before the conference, we’ll send you a hotel confirmation email for you to verify the dates you’ll be staying at the Zermatt. One week prior to the conference, you will receive an invoice to pay for your stay via credit card or purchase order.
What if I require special accommodations?
Please indicate in your registration if you require special accommodations. We will contact you to discuss your specific needs.
What if I have dietary requirements?
We are able to accommodate dietary restrictions and requirements. Please indicate in your registration if you require a special diet, and we will contact you to discuss your specific needs.
Can I bring a guest?
Guests, including spouses and partners of Kuali Days registrants, are welcome to attend the Tuesday evening opening reception on 2/18 from 6 PM to 8 PM at no additional cost. Kuali Days registrants
will receive three (3) drink tickets redeemable for soda or cocktails, however, spouse/partners who join registrants at the opening reception will not be provided with drink tickets. A cash bar will be available.
Aside from the opening reception, the conference is intended for our Kuali community to learn together and build relationships. Kuali Days breakfasts, luncheons, and sessions, will be exclusively for registrants.
Please note that Kuali community registrants are responsible for their own dinner after sessions conclude each day by 5:30 pm (MST) as it is not included in the conference costs.

Where do I find transportation to get to and from my hotel?
The conference will be held within the Zermatt Resort and Spa. Upon registration, all attendees will automatically have a room reserved for them until payment in early 2020. From the Zermatt, you can take a short three-minute shuttle ride to explore Midway. You can also arrange your own transportation, with a car rental, Uber, Lyft, or taxi service.
Are there special conference hotel rates?
Yes! Our partnership with Zermatt Resort and Spa has allowed us to secure a flat rate of $200 per night for all conference attendees. Additionally, if you’re interested in arriving early or staying in Midway after the conference, we have extended reduced rates for the weekend prior as well as the weekend following the conference.
Are there networking opportunities?
Kuali Days is designed for networking and collaborating. In addition to the sessions, we have daily opportunities to informally interact with other attendees and Kuali employees. We are also offering organized activities included in the price of your ticket to engage with others at the conference. For more information on these networking activities, click here
What is the recommended attire for the conference?
Business casual. Although, a Kuali t-shirt is not an unusual sight at this conference.
I’m not used to the cold. What should I bring?
Utah is known for the Greatest Snow on Earth! That means you’ll want to bring plan for the weather. Click here

When is the last day to register for Kuali Days?
The last day to register for Kuali Days was January 15, 2020 but we have extended the deadline.
What if I can’t come after I registered?
If you aren’t able to attend Kuali Days after securing your registration, you can transfer your pass to another person, up until January 15. There is a possibility that T-shirt size won’t be able to be changed for late transfers. If you want to cancel outright, there is a 10% cancellation fee of the price of your registration, up until January 15, 2020. After this time, your registration fee cannot be refunded.
I can’t attend Saturday’s activities. Do I still get a skiing or snow-tubing pass?
If you are not able to attend Saturday’s networking activities, Kuali will not provide attendees with a ski or snow-tubing pass. Saturday’s activities are most valuable when carried out in the company of Kuali Days attendees.
What if I need to change something from my original registration?

Where is the nearest medical center in the case of an emergency?
In the case of a medical emergency, the nearest hospital is Heber Valley Hospital
. This hospital is located 19 minutes away from the Zermatt and is equipped with an emergency room that is open 24 hour per day, 7 days per week.
